Blythe stepped out first, tan and glowing, in a white sundress with a lei of purple orchids around her neck. She waved and laughed. Somebody whistled.
Then Cullen got out.
He was tan too. He wore a white linen shirt open at the collar and sunglasses pushed up on his head. He was smiling. He started to wave at the crowd.
Then he saw the suitcases.
His hand stopped halfway up.
His smile froze. Then it slid off his face entirely.
He looked at the suitcases. Then at the chairs.
